A much needed society for the current climate. Even though women already have the right to vote, the society’s name is meant to remind women that it took blood, sweat and tears to get that right. The journey to women’s suffrage took about seventy years and a lot of strong women’s dedication. Read the free e-book, “♀ Suffrage” for a fictional account of the real life events that led to national women’s suffrage. By naming the society after the cause, it is hoped that more people will become interested in this remarkable movement and keep its memory alive.
The modern suffrage society seeks to bring a diverse group of females with diverse opinions together to disagree respectfully, find common ground and work for female progress. It is to protect what women already have and explore new grounds. It is a female only society. No males or Jane Psy allowed. Who is Jane Psy? Jane Psy(chopath) is the arch enemy of all females. Member will have free sessions to learn about this elusive and dangerous personality who will sabotage female progress for fun and/or to gain male approval. She is the anti-suffragette and a danger to female progress. This isn’t a man-hating society but it has to remain all females for the sake of the cause. There will be special activities where members can bring transgendered males, male spouses or male partners but the overall space is for females only.
This may upset some people but membership is open to biological females only. This isn’t a stance against transgendered females; it is to allow a cohesive atmosphere where life-long females can openly discuss the experience of growing up female. The life-long female experience is different from a transgendered female experience and it may be difficult for one to relate to the other on certain issues. Although life-long females differ in opinion, there is a fundamental understanding of the issues that females face. Activities where transgendered females can participate will be available and transgendered females are encouraged to start their own similar society so that collaboration with them will be possible.
The Women’s Suffrage Society seeks to empower females through a mutual effort to raise awareness, have discussions and offer assistance on female issues. It is not a sisterhood, unless some members willingly form that type of bond. Members are free to associate with whomever they please. It is okay to not like or choose not to associate with other members because that is life; Everyone is not going to like you and you are not going to like everyone. For example, although there is a common bond, not everyone likes each other in many families. The important thing is to disagree respectfully, maintain a respectful distance, have respectful interactions and be able to remain professional to get things done. In that way, the society can bring females of all different backgrounds, opinions and lifestyles together to have open discussions, share ideas and learn a little about different female viewpoints.

This was a brief description of the Women’s Suffrage Society. If you choose to look into the women’s suffrage movement, you will see that this description matches that of the original women’s suffrage groups. They came from all different backgrounds but were able to work towards a common goal. It is hoped that you will join and become a part of the new movement to protect and progress the female place in modern society.
